Permit fees and worked estimates

The actual City short-term-rental fee page provides the following narrow Fire review/inspection components. It is not a general building or Fire-system construction estimate. The separate building/trade PDF timed out during this pass.

For one applicable short-term-rental Fire review/inspection: $40 application + $32.61 plan review + $32.61 inspection = $105.22 in those components. Live page checked October 12, 2026; no Fire-row effective date is stated. Excludes zoning/application review, business license, building/trade construction and other charges; confirm eligibility and current invoice.

Site plan and required design, energy and ground-disturbance certification.
Contractor or single-family owner documents and the correct trade applications.
Relevant BAR/DRB and CWS approvals; notify staff when uploading additional files.

Homeowner and codes

The City’s nonlicensed owner Intent to Build form allows qualifying single-family applications except fuel-gas. The City posts 2021 South Carolina building/trade editions, 2020 NEC and 2009 IECC. South Carolina modification instruments must also be checked for the project and filing date; model editions alone are insufficient.

Inspections and closeout

Wait for Issued status and display the placard before work. Schedule Building/trade, Fire and any Engineering or preservation inspections under their respective permits. Complete the Certificate of Construction Completion and any required Certificate of Occupancy route.
