Plans and supporting documents meeting City digital standards.
Trade-license information and any required building application.

Homeowner and codes

Verify an owner application route before taking responsibility for construction. Electrical permits specifically require City Class A contractors. Confirm the accepted Louisiana construction-code editions and local New Orleans amendments for the filing date. Time-limited emergency amendments require checking their period of applicability.

Inspections and closeout

Use One Stop for the correct permit and required inspection requests. Resolve trade and building corrections and obtain applicable occupancy approval. Download the issued permit after approval/payment; an approved application alone is not the completed project.
