Permit fees and worked estimates

The recovered adopted 2025 resolution includes FY 2024/25 adopted comparison figures. This worked example deliberately uses that historical column; it does not certify 2026 rates.

Historical FY 2024/25 benchmark only: $66.88 plumbing issuance + $27.03 for one residential water heater up to 50 gallons = $93.91 listed components. Source is the prior-year adopted column attached to Resolution 2025-026, recovered October 12, 2026. Excludes review, additional installations, surcharges and other agencies. Do not use as a current quotation.

Submission checklist

Address, property use and complete proposed work.
City application and scope-specific plans.
Fixture/equipment quantities, capacities and energy/structural documents.
Contractor credentials or verified owner documents and relevant agency clearances.

Homeowner and codes

Confirm owner-builder eligibility and actual trade exemptions with the City. California contractor classification and City code requirements depend on the work; ownership does not waive required professional documents or inspections.

Inspections and closeout

Arrange required construction and trade stages, retain approved plans and resolve corrections. Obtain the applicable final/occupancy approval and any required Fire-system acceptance; a fee receipt alone does not close the project.
