Permit fees and worked estimates

The actual City-endorsed §12-6 fee body was reviewed in the September 25, 2026 codifier version. No expired temporary reduction is used.

Assume accepted $10,000 residential/duplex construction value in the applicable per-thousand category: 10 × $7 = $70 construction component. Excludes plan review, trades, impact fees and the $20 owner surcharge where applicable; does not use the special small-SFD flat category.

Codes and exemption boundaries

The City July 1, 2026 exemption form for qualifying single-family work below $7,500 excludes flood-hazard properties, structural components and mechanical/electrical/plumbing/gas scope. Confirm eligibility rather than assuming a price-based universal exemption.

Submission checklist

Check property jurisdiction and flood status.
Identify building and regulated trade scope.
Use City application documents.
Coordinate impact fees and required inspections.

Homeowner rules

Confirm owner-builder forms and applicable surcharge. Neither ownership nor the small-work exemption authorizes exempt treatment for the excluded regulated trades.

Inspections and closeout

Schedule City construction/trade inspections and clear corrections. City multimodal impact fees are generally paid before CO for new construction or before a modification permit, as the official fee page directs.
