Submission checklist
Homeowner and codes
The owner route requires owning and occupying the home. Arrange trade exams or licensed subcontractors at application, and pass required exams before issuance. City Ordinance 52-564 adopts the 2024 IBC with local amendments. Confirm the current Unified Building and Trade Code, discipline editions and filing-date applicability.
Inspections and closeout
The permit holder must schedule and pass required inspections. Use the MABCD portal for the correct permit and trade records, keep approved plans accessible, and complete relevant finals. Obtain current guidance before work is suspended or a permit expires.
