Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PermitOps collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website, request a demo, contact us, or use our permit workflow services.
Information we collect
We collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, company details, project information, demo requests, and support messages. We may also collect technical information such as device type, browser, pages visited, referral source, and analytics events.
How we use information
We use information to operate PermitOps, respond to inquiries, provide demos, improve permit workflow tools, analyze website performance, prevent misuse, and communicate about product updates or relevant services.
Cookies and analytics
PermitOps may use cookies, pixels, and analytics tools to understand website traffic, measure advertising performance, and improve the user experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Sharing information
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us host, secure, analyze, advertise, and operate PermitOps, or when required to comply with law, protect rights, or complete a business transaction.
Connections to ChatGPT, Claude, and other assistant hosts
When you connect PermitOps to an assistant host, OAuth through our authentication provider, Clerk, authorizes that host to request the PermitOps tools permitted for your account. PermitOps checks the connection's permissions and your current workspace access before returning data. Depending on your request, the host receives accessible job and document metadata, selected document passages, source links, citation references and coverage information, or your own saved private source excerpts and their provenance. Review the assistant host's own privacy controls and terms before choosing information to send through it.
Private source excerpt copies
Saving a source excerpt requires the additional source-import permission and approval of the exact proposed excerpt and source information. PermitOps stores the submitted text and source details as a private copy associated with your user and workspace, along with metadata needed for access checks, provenance and safe retries. It is an unverified submitted excerpt and does not update automatically. A separately connected source app grants its permissions through the assistant host; this workflow does not automatically connect that app or give PermitOps its credentials.
Import deletion and sharing
You can review or delete private imports in PermitOps Settings > Integrations. Sharing an import with a job or property requires a separate web-app review. Shared document copies have independent lifetimes, so deleting a private import does not delete a completed shared copy. Deleting a private import removes its excerpt and source details from its active import record, while limited hash and retry metadata remains. Contact us using the privacy contact below for questions about retained metadata and other copies. Disconnecting or revoking access does not itself delete previously saved copies or remove data already received by the assistant host; use the relevant deletion controls or the privacy contact below for assistance.
Data security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. We keep information only as long as needed for business, legal, security, and operational purposes.
Your choices
You may ask us to update, correct, or delete personal information where applicable. You can also opt out of marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in those messages or by contacting us directly.
